New Perry staffer worked for Tate Reeves campaign

Rick Perry has named two Republican operatives to lead his effort in the Nevada caucuses, announcing Jeremy Hughes as his state director and Kristin Vieria as Hughes’s deputy.

Nevada has long been viewed as a Mitt Romney-friendly state, but Perry has the support of GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval, and the staff announcements indicate that he’s serious about competing there.

Some background on Perry’s Nevada team, from the campaign:

Hughes most recently worked on Mississippi State Treasurer Tate Reeves’s campaign forlLt. gGovernor. He also previously worked for Kentucky Congressman Geoff Davis and was executive director of Freedom Vote, an Ohio-based nonprofit, focusing on voter turnout efforts in the state.
