Southaven to host hearing July 7 on statewide initiatives
Southaven will be the first stop for a series of public hearings on the three statewide petition initiatives that will be on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
The public hearing in Southaven will be at 5:30 p.m. July 7 at DeSoto Civic Center.
The proposed initiatives are:
Initiative No. 26: “Ultimate Human Life Amendment” — an anti-abortion initiative proposed as a state constitutional amendment that says life begins at conception.
