No insurance hikes on horizon, commissioner says
GULFPORT — Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney said today that he believes insurance rates have leveled off in Mississippi for the time being.
While an active hurricane season is anticipated, he told a Gulfport business group at lunch, models show that sea currents should steer hurricanes to Mexico, Texas and the East Coast.
