Mabus, Gambrell to speak at USM graduation ceremony

Mabus, Gambrell to speak at USM graduation ceremony

Two native Mississippians known for public service will serve as commencement speakers for the University of Southern Mississippi’s graduation ceremonies later this week.

Ray Mabus, current U.S. Secretary of the Navy and a former Mississippi governor, and 10th District Chancery Court Judge Deborah Gambrell will address graduates Friday at Reed Green.

Coliseum on the Hattiesburg campus. Mabus will speak at the 10 a.m. ceremony, and Gambrell will speak at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.

Gambrell also will be the Southern Miss Gulf Coast commencement speaker at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Coast Coliseum.
