Redistricting forecast: Cloudy in three states
In Arkansas, the House Committee on State Agencies and Government Affairs rejected a remap plan which passed the Senate Tuesday. The Senate earlier in the week rejected a House plan.
In Louisiana, both chambers abruptly adjourned early Thursday with no agreement on a map. That legislature faces a 6 p.m. Wednesday deadline for ending the current special session. If there’s no resolution, the map will be tackled in a future session – or court.
