Mississippi Economic Council rolls out Blueprint Road Show
With electronic clickers in hand, community and business leaders listed advanced manufacturing as one of DeSoto County’s greatest opportunities for creating future jobs in this area.
More than 100 people offered their input on economic development and education achievements in the state when the Mississippi Economic Council brought its Blueprint Mississippi Road Show to Southaven on Thursday.
The Southaven Rotary Club hosted the MEC’s 2011 Blueprint Road Show during its monthly luncheon at the Holiday Inn.
Blueprint is a $1.25 million research project, funded by the private sector, to get feedback from citizens on ways to improve the economic climate in the state. The data from the tours will be gathered to craft a strategic plan.
