Haley Barbour lands John McCain’s guy from New Hampshire for key field staff

Dennehy signs up for a future Barbour NH campaign

In an interview with WMUR’s Josh McElveen this morning, Michael Dennehy said that he was drawn to Barbour because of his management skills in Mississippi, especially during Hurricane Katrina.

For now, he will be called an “advisor” during the “testing the waters” phase as Barbour considers whether he will run for president. It is unknown what specific title Dennehy would have if a campaign actually happens.

For Barbour, this is a clear indication that he is taking the New Hampshire Primary seriously.
