Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour doesn’t appear timid about talking trash about President Obama in the president’s hometown.
Barbour, who is on a short-list of possible presidential Republican presidential candidates, took to the stage at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Monday morning and laid into Obama and his fiscal policies — some of which were developed in conjunction with our mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel.
“Explosive spending, skyrocketing deficits, gargantuan debt, calls for record tax increases, government-run health care, out-of-control regulations and anti-growth energy policy,” were just a few of the elements of the Obama administration that Barbour struck at. He lambasted a move away from the fiscal policies of Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton into big government.
