LTE – McCoy disingenuous

After reading House Speaker Billy McCoy’s letter to the editor (“Set aside politics and redistrict fairly,” Feb. 27), I was amused by how brazenly disingenuous this man is.

He asks representatives to “set aside politics and redistrict fairly.” This the same Rep. McCoy who, after winning the post of speaker of the House by one vote, appointed only Democrats as heads of the 49 House committees, shutting out all Republicans in leadership positions.

This is the same Rep. McCoy who appointed eight Democrats and one lone Republican to the Legislative Committee on Reapportionment.
