Showtime near on redistricting
New district maps for the 174 members of the Mississippi House and Senate could be taken up on each chamber’s floor late this week.
Rep. Gregory Holloway, D-Hazlehurst, said the redistricting process has been the “most talked about issue” among legislators in recent days.
“Every time you move right or left or up or down you move someone else’s district,” Holloway said. “Everybody’s not going to be satisfied. That’s the method to this madness.”
