Resentencing of Minor, judges delayed
Resentencing for Paul Minor and two former state court judges will be delayed, according to the U.S. District Court office in Jackson.
A resentencing hearing was scheduled for Thursday. One of Minor’s attorneys, Chuck McRae, said the court postponed the hearing due to an illness on the staff.
A new hearing date has not been announced. The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated several convictions against Minor, former Circuit Court Judge John Whitifield and former Chancery Court Judge Wes Teel.
