Lawmakers get taste of Coast hospitality
JACKSON — The Coast showcased its food and hospitality to a likely record crowd at the annual Mississippi Gulf Coast Legislative reception Wednesday night, a social event that has helped kick off state legislative sessions for about two decades.
State leaders past, present and hopeful and Coast business and community leaders mingled, ate seafood, politicked and lobbied at the Trade Mart on the state Fairgrounds.
The Mississippi Coast Chamber of Commerce, other chambers and various groups and businesses sponsored the event.
