Palazzo Names Chief of Staff
Erskine Wells to lead Congressional office
BILOXI, MS – Congressman-Elect Steven Palazzo announced today that Erskine Wells, Mississippi native, has been named Chief of Staff effective January 3, 2010. Wells served in Senator Roger Wicker’s Washington, D.C. office before accepting this position. Prior to being named Chief of Staff, Wells managed defense, housing, FEMA, homeland security and transportation issues on behalf of Mississippians.
“Erskine brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our congressional staff,” said Steven Palazzo. “His work on military issues and over seven years of experience with then-Congressman and now Senator Wicker makes him an excellent representative to lead our efforts on behalf of South Mississippians. I am thrilled to have found someone that deeply understands issues affecting Mississippi and that has strong family roots here.”
Moving forward, Congressman-Elect Steven Palazzo is focused on hiring the remaining congressional staff in South Mississippi and Washington, D.C. as well as establishing district office locations that will best serve South Mississippi. Palazzo will be sworn in as a member of the 112th Congress on January 5, 2010.
