GOV. BARBOUR DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR AREAS HIT BY STORM
JACKSON – Gov. Haley Barbour today signed a State of Emergency order for Attala, Leake, Monroe, Oktibbeha, Smith, Warren and Yazoo counties and other parts of the state damaged in the storms Monday night and early today.
The order allows the use of state resources to assist local authorities and individuals in the wake of the thunderstorms and tornadoes.
