Today was the first day I noticed a syndicated cartoon in place of the normal Marshall Ramsey slice of genius since the Clarion Ledger cutbacks. Suffice it to say that the strip they syndicated from a Pensacola paper sucked. It didn’t even kinda suck. It totally sucked. It was only in the print version. They’re not putting it online. It was irrelevant to anything in our news today (about the BP spill) and poorly drawn.
My sense is that the CL will continue to see more blowback over that particular personnel decision from readers and advertisers.
