Newton’s father won’t comment on new allegations
Thayer Evans of FoxSports.com writes today that FoxSports.com contacted Cecil Newton last night regarding ESPN’s latest pay-for-play report. But they didn’t get much out of him.
“I’m not going to confirm nor deny nothing that has been taking place. … I’ve answered what I need to answer. If they’re out there, go with it and make the decision or determination based on whatever you’ve got to say.”
Newton also called the recent allegations “a witch hunt.” “They can continue doing whatever they’re doing, sir. I’m just in support of my son.”
