SEC Matchup: LSU vs. its home-field advantage

Under coach Les Miles, LSU is 42-4 in night games and 16-12 in day games. At home, Miles’ Tigers are 28-2 at night and 6-5 in the day.
The day-night dichotomy isn’t limited to Miles’ tenure with the Tigers, now in its sixth season. Since 1960, LSU has a 218-60-4 record at night and a 22-25-3 mark during the day at Tiger Stadium.
Because CBS generally televises the SEC’s top game at 2:30 on Saturday afternoons, LSU has had to tackle many of its toughest opponents during the day. And while LSU has won games with the CBS television audience watching, all but one of the Tigers’ past 17 regular-season losses has occurred on CBS.
