No coach in the world would sign a contract with that kind of language. Good for Barbee for refusing to bow down on that issue.
Good for Auburn for removing the language, but it was a bad move trying to include it in the first place.
Look. In the minds of some people in the basketball world, Barbee suffers from guilt by his association with his mentor, John Calipari. By even suggesting that clause, Barbee’s new employer seemed to question his commitment to full compliance.
