Ex-Oregon QB Masoli’s mobility makes Rebel’s offense potent
OXFORD — Halfway through Jeremiah Masoli’s only season as Ole Miss’ quarterback, his statistics closely mirror those he posted in his two seasons at Oregon. The offense had changed quite a bit to adapt to his style, and few can argue with the big numbers it has posted.
But Masoli isn’t pleased.
“I’m kind of disappointed,” he said Tuesday after practice. “We should have a better record, first and foremost, and some better numbers in the air. Just some miscues here and there that we can’t afford and we can’t have anymore. I just think it’s making us focus a little better this week.”
As in this week, he means Arkansas (4-2, 1-2 SEC), a team the Rebels (3-3, 1-2) will face Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
