President Clinton Joins Travis Childers for Get Out the Vote Rally at Ole Miss

Booneville, MS – Today, President Bill Clinton joined Congressman Travis Childers at the University of Mississippi for a Get Out the Vote Rally to encourage students and First District voters to head to the polls on Election Day. President Clinton and Childers spoke to a crowd of more than 5,000 people about the important issues facing North Mississippians today and the significance of casting a vote on Tuesday, November 2nd.

“I’m so honored to welcome President Clinton to my alma mater, the University of Mississippi, and to join him in encouraging Ole Miss students and all voters to have a voice on November, 2nd. Many students have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote for the first time this year, and the upcoming election is an important one. Voters have a distinct choice to make on issues like jobs, the economy, and education. The only way North Mississippians can be a part of that decision is to vote,” said Childers.

Travis Childers graduated from Ole Miss in 1980. He was at the University earlier this week for the first and only debate scheduled during the First District congressional race.
