The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has outraised its GOP rival for the second consecutive month, taking in $15.9 million in September.
The DCCC, which called the monthly haul one of its best ever, also announced Thursday that it ended the month with $41.6 million cash on hand.
The National Republican Congressional Committee announced earlier Thursday that it had raised $11.2 million in September – its largest one-month take since 2006—and planned to expand its TV ad budget from $45 million to $50 million.
Both committees dramatically increased their fundraising totals from August, when the DCCC took $8.3 million to the NRCC’s $6.6 million.
