Fate hands USC an afternoon to remember

NOT LONG AFTER 80,000 fans voiced their appreciation for South Carolina’s stunning victory against No. 1-ranked Alabama at Williams-Brice Stadium, Steve Spurrier stood before his team in the USC locker room.
Spurrier presents “game balls” after every win. It is his way of rewarding players for outstanding performances. There were plenty to hand out following the most significant victory in USC football history. Stephen Garcia. Marcus Lattimore. Alshon Jeffery. The entire defensive line. Footballs were tossed everywhere.
