Rebs’ Nix mulls shake-up at DE

Defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix said he was evaluating other players ahead of starting defensive end Wayne Dorsey to see who could make a splash. Those players include Cameron Whigham, Jason Jones, Delvin Jones and Carlos Thompson.

But Nix said Dorsey may still remain the starter.

“We’re just trying to give guys an opportunity to show flashes and see if they can make a play for us, especially in passing situations,” Nix said. “Who’s the guy who gives us the best chance to get pressure on the quarterback?”
