High School Defensive End Patrick Smith Favoring Two
“We’re 4-0 right now and it’s going good,” said Smith, a Stone Mountain, Ga., native. “I have about 10 sacks and about 35 or 40 tackles. I know I’ve gotten a lot quicker off the edge and I am getting off linemen and blocks a lot better. It has a lot to do with my footwork being better and having better techniques now.”
Back to his recruitment, Smith said he got an offer from MSU back in the spring. Since that time, he’s been anxious to make his way to Starkville and get a closer look at the program.
“I talk with Mississippi State a whole lot and I call them every other day,” said Smith. “They’ve been in the picture since they came to my spring game in April. I haven’t been there before but I did go to an Ole Miss camp so I’ve been in the state before. They want me to come to a game in November and also their bowl game in December.
