Waiting on Saban in Miami, Moore was—to use a poker term—all-in. Moore gave me a great quote about where his head was at the time: “I told the pilots when they dropped me off in Miami that if I didn’t come back to this plane with Nick Saban, they should just go on and take me to Cuba.”
My story called Saban “The Most Powerful Coach in Sports,” and asked if he was worth it.
