Fresno State’s Hill refreshing oddity in world of college football
He accepted a pay cut.
A big one, too. The Fresno Bee reports that starting Jan. 1 of next year Hill’s salary will be reduced by about 28 percent of his current $1.1 million salary.
That’s Pat Hill, who leads his 2-0 Bulldog team against Ole Miss on Saturday night in Oxford.
“I’ve had calls on other jobs before,” said Hill, who returned a reporter’s phone call Monday. (Yes, even that’s out of the norm in today’s canned-quote, press conference environment).
