Finebaum: Georgia’s downward spiral isn’t good for Mark Richt

Today, Richt is a shell of his former self. No longer considered a threat to supplant Urban Meyer, Richt has entered the most perilous air space a Georgia coach can fly — being compared by some to Ray Goff. Saturday’s loss against Arkansas, which put the Bulldogs at 1-2 (0-2 in the SEC), marks the first time in 18 years things have been this bad. Goff started 0-4 in the SEC in 1992.
The loss also showed a definite and undeniable trend in the Georgia program. The Bulldogs are 2-6 in the past eight SEC games and 1-5 against the SEC East.
