Masoli happy in new surroundings, ready to taste SEC action
“I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, definitely, I’ll fit in anywhere,’ ” Masoli said Tuesday, smiling at remembering the conversation. “But here, it just happened so fast.”
Masoli is the expected starter Saturday when Ole Miss (1-1) opens Southeastern Conference play with a morning kickoff against Vanderbilt (0-2, 0-1 SEC). Masoli split time with Nathan Stanley in the season-opening loss to Jacksonville State, but emerged as the go-to guy for all but one series in last week’s win at Tulane.
