Missed opportunities against No. 21 Auburn still haunt Mullen
Simply put, Mullen is looking for his young group of players – especially at receiver – to step up and play like veterans after a 17-14 loss to Auburn that left a bitter taste in the mouths of everyone at Scott Field on Thursday.
“We had the opportunity to win the game,” Mullen said in retrospect Sunday. “In the SEC, when you have the opportunity to win the game, you better go seize it.”
