By Saturday night, the results were obvious: Both sophomores are weapons at wide receiver for the Mississippi State offense, which entertains a tougher test Thursday night when No. 21 Auburn visits Scott Field for the Southeastern Conference opener for both schools.
Bumphis and Heavens each had 100-yard, two-touchdown receiving games in last Saturday’s 49-7 season-opening whipping of Memphis.
