STARKVILLE — Mississippi State expects to exhaust its allotment of 11,000 student season tickets this morning.

The school says it sold more than 9,100 on Monday, the first day students could buy the $35 season tickets. It said it was a single-day sales record.

According to the last known season ticket sales total, a full complement of 11,000 student tickets would put State’s season ticket total at 42,219. That’s a school record, surpassing the previous record of 40,901 that was set last season.
