SOUTHAVEN – For the first time in Mississippi, people are being indicted for voter fraud, Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann told members of the DeSoto Area Republican Women and invited guests Thursday.
Hosemann, Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant, Senate President Pro Tempore Billy Hewes, State Treasurer Tate Reeves and local GOP representatives gathered at the home of State Rep. Wanda Jennings, R-Southaven.
Hosemann, long a proponent of Voter ID initiatives, said the people of Mississippi would get the chance to voter on having Voter ID on next November’s ballot.
Hosemann praised the leadership of people like Jennings, who serves on the Standing Joint Legislative Committee on Reapportionment.
