Masoli among newcomers set to report
From the moment he steps on the practice field, Masoli’s development will be closely examined as he quickly tries to learn the playbook after facing questions about his checkered background.
Masoli was booted off the University of Oregon team in June after two run-ins with police. He pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in March and also was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession in June.
Despite those issues, UM coach Houston Nutt added Masoli to the roster as a walk-on after redshirt freshman Raymond Cotton decided to transfer to South Alabama two weeks ago.
