Taylorsville linebacker gives Rebs Dandy news
Mayers is a three-star recruit on a five-star scale according to both Rivals.com and Scout.com. He made 89 tackles and grabbed three interceptions last season for the Tartars, who advanced to the Class 2A semifinals before losing to eventual 2A champion Bassfield.
“Marcus can flat out play football,” Taylorsville coach Bud Blackledge said. “He can really move and should be a good fit as an outside linebacker in college.”
