Taylorsville star, bucking school trend, plans to stay in-state
“He wants to stay in-state, which is good,” said Taylorsville coach Bud Blackledge. “He is interested in all three of them (Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss) right now. I just want to make sure he goes somewhere he is going to be happy. I think all three of the schools in state he can be happy and he can contribute.”
Mayers says he has offers and is drawing strong interest from 16 schools.
