Who will win college football’s position honors in 2010?

O’Brien Award (quarterbacks): Ryan Mallett, Jr., Arkansas

Q: What makes Mallett different from the other quarterbacks you’ve faced?
Mississippi State LB K.J. Wright says: “He’s a tall guy (6-7) with a real strong arm. But the biggest thing is that he’s very mental. He makes you work harder on that side of the game. You try to put up something that will stop him, and you can tell at the line he knows what’s coming and what he can do to get past it. That makes it tough.”
