Who are the winningest coaches in SEC history?

Ole Miss’ Houston Nutt will become the 14th head coach to guide an SEC school in at least 150 games when the Rebels kick off against Jacksonville State on Sept. 4 to open the season. When Ole Miss visits Arkansas, Nutt’s former team, on Oct. 23, Nutt will become the 13th coach to work at least 100 conference games. And if the Rebels can win seven games this season, Nutt will become the 14th coach with 100 victories at SEC members.

On the other side of the hyphen, Vanderbilt’s Bobby Johnson is three losses away from moving into the top five of SEC coaches for defeats. Johnson has 66 losses with the Commodores. Bryant has the fifth-most losses among SEC coaches with 69. Of course, Bryant’s record while at Kentucky and Alabama was 292-69-14. Johnson is 29-66 at Vanderbilt.
