What’s the final score in Bush vs. NCAA?
The house
A 17-year-old Valhalla High senior answered the door this week after a reporter knocked. His family rented the house after a Michigan man purchased it off the Bear Stearns foreclosure heap for about $460,000 in 2008. Upon moving in, the family soon was told it was once “Reggie Bush’s house.”
“I don’t think much of it, but it’s kind of something to have bragging rights to, right?” said the student, Stevin Habba.
This was the house that started the NCAA investigation that led to USC’s penalties. Bush’s parents and younger brother lived there for about a year in 2005-06 when Bush was playing at USC. They lived there without paying rent to Michaels, who bought the house in 2005 for $757,000.
