You may recall late in spring practice back in April when the name of Nickoe Whitley started to pop up. Mississippi State coaches were seeing so many good things from him, they decided to elevate him to a starter role at safety and move Johnthan Banks to corner. It was experimental then and remains so today, with plenty of work to be done in August to make it concrete. I, however, didn’t get a chance to visit with Whitley, a Provine grad, for a feature.
