After watching video of State’s second spring scrimmage, coaches decided to make a bold move: Johnthan Banks, who was a freshman All-SEC team member in 2009, was moved to cornerback. The move is far from permanent and will take an entire August worth of vetting, but the reason behind it is significant.

“It was really Nickoe’s presence that facilitated us being able to look at Johnthan Banks at corner,” Diaz said.
