If the Big 12 commissioner learned nothing else this week, it’s not to expect a loyalty oath from members locked in the embrace of other suitors.

Not only is the Pac-10 considering all but Baylor from the Big 12 South, the Big Ten’s courting of Texas flames anew.
Meanwhile, the Pac-10 and Big Ten convene in separate meetings this weekend.
Forecast: Expect widespread tremors.
The foundation for what college football will look like in a couple of years is taking shape now, right under Dan Beebe’s feet.
The first mistake the Big 12 boss or anyone else could make was to believe Texas no longer listens to other offers.
