Keenum, SEC presidents talk cowbells; Slive talks expansion
SEC commissioner Mike Slive spoke a little more than usual about the issue when reporters cornered him in the lobby. (I joined in late after speaking with Keenum and had to fend off unruly luggage carts whose wheels didn’t much care for my shoes.)
“I think we pay attention to what happens all around,” Slive said. The commissioner spoke a few hours after a report on the Texas affiliate of Rivals.com that said the Pac-10 was prepared to invite six schools from the Big 12. That report cited a source in saying that Texas A&M has had “serious conversations” with the SEC about joining the league. Slive wouldn’t comment on the story, as has been his norm through most of these reports.
