U-M coach Rich Rodriguez faces own sanctions
When the NCAA served a notice of allegations to the University of Michigan in February concerning potential violations of rules involving the football team, it also served separate notices to both coach Rich Rodriguez and graduate assistant coach Alex Herron.
The three notices were substantially the same, outlining similar allegations.
But the separate notices also make clear that if the NCAA determines violations occurred, it could impose separate sanctions on Rodriguez and Herron, in addition to any sanctions against the university.
