All-SEC defensive tackle Jerrell Powe and defensive end Kentrell Lockett give the Rebels presence on the line, and Jonathan Cornell is a proven middle linebacker. Ole Miss has to find some reinforcements in the secondary, but with veteran defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix calling the shots, Nutt likes the Rebels’ chances.
“There’s still a lot of excitement, a lot of positives,” Nutt said. “Tyrone is going to be a very good head coach someday.”
