Coaches on the Hot Seat: Georgia’s Mark Richt

The first whistle of the 2010 college football season hasn’t even been blown yet and we are already looking at several coaches whose futures could be in jeopardy. Today is part two of a five-part series on college football coaches on the Hot Seat.
Mark Richt, Georgia

It seems almost every season, Richt’s name comes up as being on the hot seat. Funny considering since taking over the Georgia program in 2001, the Bulldogs have won 77 percent of their games — 90-27 — including going 50-22 in the Southeastern Conference over that same stretch of games.
He’s taken the Bulldogs to a bowl game every year, putting together a 7-2 record during that time.
So why does Richt face the preverbal firing squad every season?
