But leave a conference that just finished the first year of a 15-year, $2.25 billion TV deal with ESPN? Turn your back on a league that distributed $132.5 million in revenue among its 12 member schools last year?
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier fueled the fire in last week’s post-spring teleconference with SEC Media, when asked about possible SEC expansion. “I don’t know that we’ll do a larger (conference). I hadn’t heard that scenario,” Spurrier said. “I heard maybe Arkansas back to the Big XII or something like that.”
