Miss. Public Service Commission hosting town hall meeting in Tunica
State Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley is bringing his staff to Tunica on Thursday, and he hopes North Mississippi residents use the occasion to give him an earful about utility rates and other matters.
But he hopes he can do the same.
“We’ve found that one of the most effective things about these town hall meetings is that they give people a better understanding of what we do on the PSC,” said Presley, who represents the agency’s North Mississippi district. “We want people to walk away with a better idea of what we do.”
Between him getting a chance to explain the PSC’s mission to the public and the public getting a chance to tell him about problems they’re having, Presley said the session should be a win-win.
The meeting is scheduled for 5-6 p.m. at the Tunica County Courthouse, 1300 School Street, and is open to the public.
