Notre Dame could play role of spoiler
Notre Dame. Is there a word beyond hot? Molten, maybe? That’s Notre Dame right now. The Irish won four consecutive games to close the season, all against RPI top 60 opponents and two (at Georgetown, at Marquette) on the road. Funny thing is, that’s pretty much what the Irish needed to accomplish to have a good shot at an NCAA bid. They face the winner between Seton Hall and Providence in the second round Wednesday; it wouldn’t hurt to win that one, as well.
