No conflict found in Manning family

We were still trying to squeeze out of the tumult that was New Orleans in the wee hours of Monday morning. We tuned to WWL, the big 870 on your radio dial, where the Who Dats were weighing and slurring in.
It was fabulous. We needed some comic relief after those evil deadlines and that monster of a game, Sunday’s 31-28 overtime victory over Minnesota that put the Saints – the Saints!? – in the Super Bowl.
So one woman, obviously 99 sheets to the wind, calls in a soft, Creole, alcohol-laced voice, telling host Bobby Hebert, “I just feel so sorry for Ahh-chie Manning. You know, B-B-B-Bobby, he’s going to be so c-c-c-conflicted these next two weeks.”
