Waveland mayor charged with embezzlement of $1,116
A state grand jury in Hancock County has indicted Mayor Tommy Longo on an embezzlement charge. Longo, who was arrested this morning and is being booked at the Hancock County jail, was charged with converting to his own use a city Fuelman credit card. The grand jury alleges that Longo used the card to put gas in his private vehicle.
The State Auditor alleges that Longo embezzled $1,116.84 in Fuelman purchases that were used in a personal vehicle and not in his government-issued vehicle.
